Join a course at work and hand in your tasks

Join your workplace's course from its link, answer each task with your own figures, hand it in, and keep your record of completion.

Training and classes · For learners · Updated 8 Oct 2026

Your supervisor shares a course link. You join the course with your own Kelvin account. You don't need to set up a firm, and joining doesn't give anyone access to anything else on your account.

Join the course

  1. 1

Open the course link your supervisor gave you, the whole link.

  2. 2

If you're not signed in, sign in, or choose Create one to make an account. Kelvin brings you back to the course link afterwards, in the same browser tab.

  3. 3

If you've just made your account, confirm your email address first: a course can't be joined until it's confirmed.

  4. 4

Enter Your name, as your workplace knows you. Your supervisor sees this name, your hand-ins and their sign-offs.

  5. 5

Tick the box to confirm you're 18 or over. Kelvin's training is for people 18 or over for now.

  6. 6

    Choose Join the course.

Answer a task

  1. 1

Open your course from My courses, then the task.

  2. 2

Answer each question. Type a figure as you would a reading: the unit is given, and the ± button beside the cell changes the sign.

  3. 3

Your answers save as you go, and Save for later saves them now.

  4. 4

When you're done, choose Hand in, then Hand it in. You can't change your answers after that.

Your figures are your own: nobody else on the course has the same ones. Most tasks have no due date, so you can work through them at your own pace.

After you hand in

Your supervisor checks your hand-in and either signs it off or asks for another attempt, with feedback. If it needs another attempt, choose Start attempt with the next attempt's number to answer the same kinds of question with new figures.

Some tasks ask for a refresher some months after they're signed off. When it's due, the task says so: choose Start the refresher to do it again with new figures.

Your training record

Your training record lists your tasks, their sign-offs and when any refresher is due. Print record beside a signed-off task prints a record of completion to keep.

Note

Nobody else on the course sees your work. Your supervisor sees your name, your hand-ins and their sign-offs, and nothing else of your account. Your employer's firm, its projects and its clients stay out of your view.
