Find help in Kelvin

Open help for the screen you're on, search every article, read a new screen's first steps, and reach a person at Sentoro.

Getting started · Updated 7 Oct 2026

Every screen in Kelvin has its help a click away, and reading it never takes you off the screen.

The Help drawer

  1. 1

Choose the question-mark button at the right of the chart header, or Help at the foot of the rail. On a phone, it's the question mark in the top bar.

  2. 2

On this screen lists the articles written for the screen you're on. Choose one to read it in the drawer, and All help to come back.

  3. 3

To find anything else, type in Search help. Every word you type has to be in an article for it to be listed, so try fewer words if nothing comes up.

  4. 4

Everything else lists every area of help, to browse.

The drawer sits over the right of the screen without covering the rest, so you can follow an article's steps on the screen it describes. Close it with its close button, or Escape.

Articles as pages

Every article is also a page in the help centre, which anyone can read without signing in. Open as a page opens the article you're reading there, to keep or to send to a colleague.

First steps on a new screen

The first time you open some screens, a small panel shows their first steps. Read the article opens the whole article in the Help drawer, and Got it puts the panel away on that screen for good.

Searching from anywhere

Search Kelvin in the chart header (Ctrl K, or ⌘K on a Mac) finds Kelvin's pages. Type a question there and choose Search help for to search the help with the same words.

When the help doesn't answer it

Choose Email Sentoro at the foot of the drawer, or write to hello@sentorotech.com.au, and a person will answer. Say which screen you were on, what you did, and what you expected to happen.

Note

When a search finds no article, Kelvin counts the words searched and the screen they were searched on (never a project or a record), with nothing about who searched. It is how Sentoro decides which article to write next.
