Every model on the Equipment station is entered from its datasheet. When your firm's library already holds it, you can fill the entry sheet from the library instead of typing it again.
- 1
On the Equipment station, choose Enter from datasheet for the component, or its model name to change one already entered.
- 2
Under From the firm library, choose the entry in Library entry. The sheet fills with its figures.
- 3
Choose Use this model (or Update this model), then save the equipment selection with Save selection or Update selection.
What is copied
- Picking an entry copies its figures into this project's equipment selection. Later edits to the library entry never change them, and deactivating or deleting the entry leaves them as they are.
- If you change a figure after filling the sheet from an entry, it's saved as this project's own model, and the library entry is unchanged.
- Only active entries are offered, each listed with its manufacturer, model and whether it has been checked.
Checked or not
The sheet says whether the entry was checked. An entry nobody has checked can still be used, but the sheet warns that a project can't rest on it until a second engineer checks it. The project's copy keeps the entry's standing as it was when you picked it.
The equipment report's Sources section lists the document each model's figures came from and its standing, and notes any library entry nobody has checked.
Note
With no entries of that kind in the library, the sheet says so. Enter the model for this project, or add it under Settings → Your firm → Equipment library to reuse it.
