Change or reset your password

Kelvin changes a password only through a reset link emailed to your account's address. How to ask for one, signed in or not.

Your plan and account · Updated 7 Oct 2026

A password is only ever changed from a reset link emailed to your account's own address, so nobody else at a signed-in browser can change it.

  1. 1

On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password?.

  2. 2

Enter your Email address and choose Send reset link.

  3. 3

Open the link in the email. On New password, enter the new password twice and choose Reset password. Kelvin saves it and opens.

Changing it while signed in

The sign-in page is only shown while you're signed out. To change a password you know, sign out first (Settings → General, Sign out), then follow the steps above.

If you open a reset link while signed in and it has already been used or has run out, Kelvin offers Email me a reset link instead, which sends a new one to your own address.

About the link

  • It works once, from any device, so you can ask on a computer and open it on your phone.
  • If it has run out or been used, the page says Invalid reset link: choose Request a new link.
  • A new link can be sent once a minute.
  • Kelvin says the same thing whether or not an account has the address you entered. If nothing arrives, check the address you typed.
