Education gives Professional features free to students and teaching staff at universities, TAFEs and other tertiary institutions, aged 18 or over. It is for study and teaching only: every page of a report made under it is marked “Education licence — not for commercial use”.
Like every plan, it belongs to a firm, and only the firm's owner applies. A student or teacher creates a firm of their own and applies from there. It can only be added to a firm on the Free plan.
- 1
In a firm you own, open Settings → Billing. Apply for Education on Plans and prices goes to the same place.
- 2
Under Apply for Education, enter your Full name, choose Student or Teacher under You are a, and give the Institution and your Institution email, the address your institution gave you.
- 3
Add the Course or subject (optional), tick the box confirming you're 18 or over and study or teach at a tertiary institution, and choose Send application.
What happens next
The application reads Waiting for review. Someone at Sentoro checks the institution and the email address by hand, and the decision shows in the same place. Once it reads Approved, Education access is on for the firm.
If it isn't approved, it says so there, with the reason when one was given, and you can apply again.
Note
Joining a teacher's class in Kelvin is separate, and doesn't need this plan.
