A request's status is set by hand on its page, one press at a time, and every change goes to the client's Deployr straight away.
- 1
Open the request and find the Status block.
- 2
Choose the new status. Kelvin saves it and sends it to the client's Deployr, then says whether it was sent.
- 3
Before choosing Approved, have the linked design checked and approved in Sign-off, on the same page.
The statuses
- Received: the request has arrived and no one has started it.
- In progress: the work is under way.
- Awaiting information: you are waiting on the client. It carries a warning mark in the inbox.
- Review required: the work is ready for a check of the linked design. It carries a warning mark too.
- Approved: the firm accepts the work for issue.
- Report issued: the work has been issued. Setting it also sends the client's Deployr the selection last pushed: its equipment rows, documents and notes.
- Complete: the request is finished. Report issued and Complete count as closed, so the request leaves the open counts.
What the client's Deployr receives
With each change Kelvin sends the status and its name, the selection notes, and links to the documents already sent back on the request. What Deployr shows its users from them is up to Deployr.
Kelvin never moves a status for you
Recording a check or an approval doesn't move the status, and moving the status doesn't record a signature. A push, an email or a linked design doesn't move it either. Through its connection, the client's Deployr can set a request only to Received, In progress or Awaiting information. Review required and every status after it are set in Kelvin alone, and once a request has reached one of them, Deployr can't move it back.
If it isn't sent
- If the client isn't paired, or has been disconnected, the status is saved and Kelvin says to connect Deployr to send it automatically.
- If their Deployr can't be reached or refuses it, Kelvin shows the reason. The status is still saved in Kelvin; reload the page to see it. The organisation's sheet under Settings → API & Integrations shows the failure under Last update out.
Note
Reviewers can read a request's status but not change it.
