Each client you work with through Deployr is a client organisation in Kelvin, with its own connection, kept separate from every other client. Pairing is a swap of two codes: yours goes into their Deployr, and theirs comes into Kelvin.
- 1
Under Organisations, enter the client's name in Organisation name and choose Add organisation.
- 2
In that organisation's Deployr connection sheet, choose Create connection code, then Copy code, and give the code to the client to paste into their Deployr.
- 3
Paste the code the client's Deployr gives you into the field under Deployr's code and choose Connect.
Once both codes are in place, the sheet reads Paired and names the Deployr it is paired with. Settings → API & Integrations says how many of your organisations are paired.
What each code does
- Your code, which starts TE1-, lets the client's Deployr raise engineering requests in Kelvin. It creates an API key for that organisation, listed under API keys.
- Deployr's code, which starts AF1-, lets Kelvin send statuses and work back to that Deployr, and pull the site's details from it.
- Until both are in place the sheet reads Not paired, and says which half is still to do.
Your code is shown once
Copy it as soon as it appears. It leaves the page once it is copied, when the browser tab is hidden, or after 10 minutes, and Kelvin can't show it again. If it is lost, choose Create new code: the old code stops working at once, and the client pastes the new one into their Deployr.
Your firm can create a limited number of connection codes in any 24 hours. Past it, Kelvin says how many have been created and asks you to use the most recent one.
Checking the connection
Each sheet shows Last request in, when the client's Deployr last reached Kelvin, and Last update out, when Kelvin last sent something back. If that last send failed, the sheet says "Last push failed" with the reason, and the event margin repeats it.
If the client's Deployr issues a replacement code, choose Replace Deployr's code, paste it and choose Connect.
Disconnecting
Choose Disconnect under the sheet and confirm. Kelvin revokes the key your code gave their Deployr, so their code stops working at once, and forgets Deployr's code, so nothing more is sent to them. To pair again, both sides swap new codes.
Note
Deployr pairing, API keys and webhooks are part of the Team plan. See Pricing.
