“Pressure not judged” in the segment ledger means Kelvin has no design pressure to set the tube's rated working pressure against, because no standstill temperature is entered for that side of the system. It is never a pass.
Why
A line's design pressure is the pressure it can see, not the pressure it runs at. At standstill the whole system equalises, high side and low side separately, so each side's design pressure is the refrigerant's saturation pressure at that side's standstill temperature. Those temperatures come from AS/NZS 5149.2, and Kelvin doesn't hold its tables, so there's no default.
What to do
- 1
On Pipe Layout, under Pipe sizing, enter Standstill, high side and Standstill, low side from AS/NZS 5149.2.
- 2
On a CO₂ low side, the standstill pressure is set by its relief valve: enter the saturation temperature at that relief setting.
- 3
Read each segment's verdict again. A tube over its rating reads “Over tube rating”, and one that runs hotter than its rating holds to reads “Hotter than rated”. For either, choose a tube series whose rating covers it, under Tube.
- 4
Save the layout, so the temperatures are kept with it.
Note
A layout saved before the standstill temperatures existed has none, so its tube ratings read not judged until they're entered.
