A notice saying a result needs reference tables Kelvin's library doesn't have yet means a calculation on this screen reads a published table that isn't in Kelvin's reference library. The result isn't shown until the table is there.
The HVAC and hydronic equations are in Kelvin's code, but every published table they read comes from its reference library, each row citing its source: radiant and conduction time series, glazing data, duct and pipe roughness, sizing criteria, motor efficiencies, fluid properties and more. Kelvin maintains that library for every firm, and firms don't add or edit tables. Kelvin never estimates a published table, so a calculation missing one stops and names it.
- 1
Read the notice. It names each table the result needs, the standard it comes from, and what it was needed for.
- 2
Where the station lets you enter the figure yourself with its source, do that meanwhile. For example, outdoor air can be entered in L/s, and a fan curve can be typed off its datasheet.
- 3
Otherwise, tell Sentoro which tables you need: choose Email Sentoro in the Help drawer, or write to hello@sentorotech.com.au. Once the table is in the library, the result appears.
What you'll see
- A choice that reads — none in the library — has nothing to choose yet. On Space Loads, a note at the top of the sheet lists the kinds of table it chooses from that the library doesn't hold.
- A result that needs a missing table isn't shown at all, and a notice says which tables it is waiting for. Kelvin doesn't estimate a published table, and it doesn't show a partial figure.
- If the library can't be loaded, the station says so and nothing that needs it calculates. Reload the page.
- A hydronic circuit waiting on a table reads Not judged in the circuit ledger for the same reason.
Where the figures came from
Every result that used the library lists each row in its basis, with its source and edition, and the report prints them. When the rows come from different editions, Kelvin notes it.
